No. Everything (and we do mean everything), including the film transfers are done on-site. The benefit is that our turn-around time BLOWS AWAY the competition. We’ve heard stories of a single VHS taking 1-2 MONTHS to get back when dropped off at the other places ~ or turns on film taking 4-6 months!?! Typically, when a client has a single videotape transfer we’ll have it ready within the week. Naturally, it does depend on our workload (and rush fees may apply), but we always try to give our clients a realistic time-frame at drop off.
Know too that the person behind the desk at any of these firms knows ZERO about your transfer. They are simply putting it in a box and shipping it across the country! Believe us, we’ve RE-DONE MANY transfers from unhappy clients of these stores. We’ve seen examples of a 30 minutes video with the content plus another 7.5 hours of blank static.
