More and more we have clients choosing MP4 digital files for their video and film transfers versus going to DVD. We’ve noticed that the biggest hang-up with digital files is when the client would prefer to watch the videos on their TV rather than hovering around a small computer screen. We all know this is a breeze with a DVD player, but is there a solution for MP4 files to play on the big screen (especially when TVs can be quirky about the types of USB drives they’ll accept)? We’ve found a handy device called the NEUMI Atom 4K Ultra-HD Digital Media Player. We use this device to rotate through videos and commercials in our lobby every day we’re open! In fact, it runs ALL DAY without issue. It’s super easy to use and the best part is you can plug a USB Flash Drive into the front or back and play directly from it. There are nice menu settings, looping features, and just a whole lot to like.
We appreciate that this specific device can handle FAT32, NTFS, and ExFat formatted drives ~ wherein most TVs only work with FAT32 (which is limited to files under 4 gigs). This is a crucial piece as large video can easily go over the 4 gig limit of FAT32. The outputs options are HDMI or Yellow/Red/White (composite cables).
